For A Level Classics students and their teachers, and sixth form students considering studying Classics at university level.

An opportunity to experience Oxford University's teaching and explore the Ashmolean Museum's collections. The Ashmolean's A-Level Study Days are designed to enrich and support delivery of the A-Level curriculum, giving access to the Ashmolean’s collections with museum curators and Oxford University academics with university-style lectures and workshops.

Delivered in partnership with the Faculty of Classics, University of Oxford

A series of morning lectures followed by afternoon workshops and gallery tours of the Rome, Greece and Cast Galleries, led by curators and University academics. The 2019 Study Day will also include timed visits to our 'Last Supper in Pompeii' exhibition.

'The students and staff were very impressed with the talks and enjoyed the experience. The staff particularly liked the speakers who forced the students to come out of their comfort zones to make observations and answer questions!'

Head of Classics, Colchester Sixth Form College
