With Colin Harrison, Senior Curator of European Art, and Clare Pollard, Curator of Japanese Art
Two of the Ashmolean’s curators will lead exclusive tours of the Museum’s galleries in this evening event.
Join us on a journey through the ages, which will take us from 18th-Century England to the Far East. Learn about the museum’s superb examples of English portraiture, including Gainsborough and Reynolds and explore the culture of the Japanese, admiring the skills and artistry of their amazing craftsmen.
Explore the techniques and history behind these inspiring exhibits on a dual tour that spans the globe and time.
To avoid overcrowding in the galleries, numbers will be limited to two groups of 20, who will change over half way through the evening, before meeting for drinks in the Mallett Gallery at the end of the tours.
Tickets are available to Members only.
This talk will take place in-person at the Ashmolean.
Tickets are £30.
If you have any questions before the event, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
