Join this practical, in-depth exploration of all the major watercolour techniques and how to apply them to create lively and atmospheric paintings.

With inspiration from the Ashmolean's collections, artist John Somerscales will be giving demonstrations and advice on the best equipment to use.

You will practise all of the watercolour techniques discussed during the classes and all material will be provided.

Suitable for beginners or those who want to improve their technique.

An intermediate course will follow in the autumn.

The course sessions will take place onsite at the Ashmolean Museum in the Learning Studio

Booking is essential and tickets are £250 for the five days. Concessions are £230.
