Short course: two talks about Pointillism with art historian and author Juliet Heslewood
Pointillism grew not only from the liberation that the Impressionist brushstroke encouraged. During the 1880s, Parisian artists studied scientific colour theories that led them to depict the same subjects Impressionists favoured, in a new style that was also inhibiting.
These two talks reveal Pointillist artists and their revolutionary ideas.
The event will take place on-site at the Ashmolean Museum, and online on Zoom and a link to join the event will be shared in advance by email.
Booking is essential and tickets are £14. Tickets include access to both events.
We will get in touch with those who have already purchased tickets for this course, now the new dates have been announced.
