Entry to the Museum is free but pre-booking is required for groups and for our ticketed exhibitions.
FACE COVERINGS / MASKS
Visitors and our staff may continue to wear face coverings if it makes them feel comfortable.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
There are no longer any special recommendations for social distancing.
CLEANING & HYGIENE
We maintain regular cleaning regimes and there are sanitisation points throughout the Museum.

TEMPORARY CLOSURES
Greek & Roman Sculpture Gallery and European Art Gallery – Closing early on 16 Nov 2024
Both these ground floor galleries will close early at 3.45pm on Sat 16 Nov.
Rome Gallery Closure Nov 2024 – spring 2025
The Rome Gallery, gallery 13 on the ground floor, will be closing for major refurbishment from 4 Nov 2024, reopening in spring 2025.
Cast Gallery Closure Nov 2024 – spring 2025
Due to the major refurbishment for the adjacent Rome Gallery 13, the Cast Gallery will also close from 4 Nov and reopen in spring 2025.
