Recently visited one of our major exhibitions? You can upgrade your ticket into an Ashmolean Membership within 14 days of your ticket date. You only pay the difference* of the Membership cost and you'll enjoy free exhibition entry, exclusive preview days, Member-only events, the Ashmolean Magazine, shop and dining discounts for a year.

* Exhibition tickets for children under 12 are free, and tickets for children aged 12–17 are half price. However, each Member (and each Member 'guest', if you hold an ‘and Guest’ Membership) may book up to two FREE tickets for children aged 12–17.

If you would like to use your membership immediately, please join by credit or debit card, or in person at the Museum.

Join online with Direct Debit and your membership may take up to 3 working days to be activated.

Since 1969 the Members and Friends of the Ashmolean have played a vital role in supporting the Museum.

Support from our Members has helped us to grow the Museum's collection, continue its vital conservation and preservation work, undertake research, and mount exhibitions. Members also support the continuing delivery of the Museum's exhibitions, as well as learning and outreach programmes which inspire new generations of museum-lovers and help ensure the Ashmolean is accessible to all.
