On this exclusive out-of-hours tour, Dr Roberts will guide members through the newly-refurbished Rome and Etruscan galleries, exploring the striking displays and room themes, while discussing the insights these collections give into the lives of Romans, from the emperor to the enslaved.

Members will journey through the Roman Empire from Oxfordshire to Syria, passing through Roman Britain to the city of Rome. Paul Roberts will explore subjects such as slavery, trade and the army. Join him to discover the revelations these newly displayed objects shed on Roman life.
