Painting in the Park was a community event in Florence Park, Oxford, on a sunny spring day in March this year.

Inspired by the Ashmolean's Pissarro exhibition, families were welcomed to a drop-in session and provided with canvas, easel, paint palette and brushes. With the help of Oxford artist Francesca Shakespeare, families were encouraged to paint the park around them. 

 

This display in the Museum includes a photographic slideshow of the day and some collaborative artworks on canvas.
