The Ashmolean welcomes back old friends, and new ones as well to our series of poetry tours that in 2024.

Poets from Oxford and surrounding areas will explore and celebrate the Museum’s pieces, renowned or recherche, intriguing or glorious and newly-acquired artworks.

On this tour in September, our poet speakers will focus on the work of contemporary Chinese ink master Li Jin on display in the Chinese Paintings gallery with drawings and ceramic work by the British caricaturist Roger Law - the pair have been friends for many years.
