In this session students will explore objects and artworks to learn how the use of perspective in art has changed and developed across different cultures and times.
Objects and artworks include ancient Assyrian relief sculptures, Early Italian Art, Renaissance paintings by Paulo Uccello and J.M.W. Turner’s painting The High Street, Oxford. The session concludes with more recent paintings, exploring how the conventions of perspective can be subverted.
Sessions can be tailored in discussion with the teacher to meet the needs of students.
