EUROPEAN SCULPTURE COLLECTION

The collection of European sculpture is the most interesting, beautiful and wide-ranging of any British museum outside the V&A. It includes one of the world’s most important groups of small Italian Renaissance bronzes and other sculptures assembled by C.D.E. Fortnum. Other important groups include plaster casts from the studio of Sir Frances Chantrey, presented by his widow, and the Brocklebank Collection of ‘New Sculpture’ bronzes.
