SILK SCREEN PRINTING WORKSHOP

One-day practical session in the Learning Studio

No experience required

Booking is essential, see below

With the Berkshire Printmakers, Sarah and Cipriano Martinez

Learn about the heritage craft of silk screen printing with two experienced printmakers. In this practical workshop you'll get to grips with the art technique made famous by the likes of Andy Warhol, John Piper, Eduardo Paolozzi and Roy Lichtenstein.

No experience is necessary for the workshop as you will be taken step by step through how to make your own multi-layered prints. You'll be shown how to use optical colour mixing, create positive and negative stencils, learn about making translucent inks, and get a handle on using a squeegee.
