The Ashmolean welcomes back old friends, and new ones as well to our series of poetry tours..

Poets from Oxford and surrounding areas will explore and celebrate the Museum’s pieces, renowned or recherche, intriguing or glorious and newly-acquired artworks.

This December tour takes you round three galleries on the ground floor, from Ancient Cyprus and the Ancient Middle East to the Aegean World.

Poems will be recited next to the objects and artworks that inspired the poets. If you want to talk to the poets, most of us are friendly!
