The Ashmolean welcomes back old friends, and new ones as well to our series of poetry tours.

This tour focuses on the free exhibition in the Ashmolean's Chinese Paintings Gallery, where contemporary Hong Kong artist Cheung Yee's sculptures and works on paper are on show alongside other Hong Kong contemporaries.

Poets from Oxford and surrounding areas will explore and celebrate the Museum’s pieces, renowned or recherche, intriguing or glorious and newly-acquired artworks.

Poems will be recited next to the objects and artworks that inspired the poets. If you want to talk to the poets, most of us are friendly!
