The Ashmolean Museum welcomed input from young people aged 16-24 in a series of events, discussions and tours in 2024 around the history of gender and ancient goddesses.
A group of young people were recruited to build up their skills in 2024, by joining the Museum Makers programme.
This programme is for those interested in learning more about the Museum behind-the-scenes about art history.
After being recruited in Feb 2024, the group helped us to create and run a pop-up tour on the history of gender, interacting with Museum staff and learning about objects in the Ashmolean's collection.
Creatives
Creatives invites young people to participate in a series of workshops on making artwork in response to the Museum’s galleries and objects. There is no programme running for this as yet in 2025.
