CV

Jevon Thistlewood joined the Ashmolean Museum’s Conservation Department in 2007 as the Conservator of Paintings. In 2007, he became an accredited member of the Institute of Conservation (ICON). He graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Chemistry and a master’s degree in Sculpture Studies. He also has a master’s degree in the Conservation of Fine Art (Easel Paintings) from the University of Northumbria. Research projects are wide ranging and commonly concerned with all things paint related in paintings from Antiquity to the present day.
